Hotel guest in a bright room at the moment of arrival

A stay is a single thread. Your tools cut it into six.

OpenFlow plugs into your PMS and connects what it does not cover: restaurant, bar, spa, the mood of the public areas, the guest conversation. The bill follows the room, the data follows the person.

What breaks today

The four points where an operation loses money.

These situations do not come from a lack of rigour: they come from tools that do not talk to each other. Each one is solved by shared data rather than by another procedure.

The PMS does not reach the outlets

The restaurant, the bar and the spa live in their own software. The charge to room is agreed out loud, and discovered at check-out.

The front desk is doing data entry

Arrival times, transfers, dinner bookings, special requests: information collected at the counter when it could have been collected before arrival.

The upsell lands wide

An upgrade offered on a category that is full, a treatment offered on a closed cabin: the offer undermines the property instead of generating revenue.

Recognition rests on memory

What the guest asked for in the spring is lost to staff turnover, for want of a profile that fills itself in.

A typical day

What the suite does while you run the business.

  1. 01D−3

The pre-stay thread opens on WhatsApp. Arrival time, transfer, a table for the first evening. The upgrade is offered because the category is genuinely free.

  2. 02D0, 3:20 pm

Arrival in four minutes: everything is already on file. The OSCAR badge is handed over with the key, and the lobby music has moved to its afternoon programme.

  3. 03D1, 6:40 pm

The air conditioning in the room is reported from the badge. Only the technician concerned is alerted, with the guest’s name and the room number; the ticket is closed before dinner.

  4. 04D1, 8:10 pm

Dinner at the restaurant, bill charged to the room with a credit check. Tomorrow’s treatment is confirmed from the table.

  5. 05D2, 11:00 am

Departure. Yesterday’s incident was handled during the stay, so the review request goes out without second thoughts. The CRM profile is richer for next time.

The pre-stay thread emptied the queue at the counter at four in the afternoon. It is not spectacular on a brochure, but my receptionists look guests in the eye instead of looking at a screen.
